Presenter: Dr. Wuyi Wang, Vice President of Research and Development, GIA
You may have seen media reports about counterfeit diamond grading reports or laboratory-grown diamonds cut to match existing GIA reports. While these may involve only a very small number of the millions of reports GIA laboratories issue each year, anyone buying diamonds should be aware. The portable GIA Match iD addresses this concern, scanning a diamond’s GIA laser inscription to rapidly verify the diamond’s report.
– Make sure that an inscribed diamond you take in matches its original GIA report
– Avoid a mismatch between what they tell you the diamond is and what it really is
– Find out how the GIA Match ID can protect you and your business
– Understand how GIA’s cloud-based AI can match a diamond to its verified GIA report
– Hear from Dr. Wuyi Wang, the head of GIA’s research and development department
