Government Relations

The NPA's public policy program was created by and is monitored by the Board of Directors and the Government Relations Committee. In addition, the NPA employs a full-time Washington, D.C. lobbyist who heads up a network of practitioners and legal scholars from across the country.

NPA also subscribes to a legislative service that monitors legislation and regulation development in all 50 states and in Washington, D.C. When items of concern at the state level arise, NPA notifies the state, and pawnbrokers in that state, and provides the necessary information to them.
